Stockade Camp

Boys: ages 8–12 completing grades 3–6

Stockade Camp was a great time this year! Don't forget to check back in a few months and register for 2009!

Do you want to have a great week that beats video games all to pieces? Stockade camp is full of outstanding daily activities and spiritual focus.

Plus, you get to customize your day by choosing 2 awesome activities to focus on each day. Check out all of our great activity choices.

ImageCanoeing Learn and practice proper canoeing techniques on our on-site lake and finish the week with a canoe trip down The Grand River.
 
ImageRocketry Build and launch your own rockets. All materials provided and take your rocket home.
 
ImageSwimming You’ll get to swim during camp free-time, but if you really want to get in some water time or let our water front director help you improve your skills you can take swimming as a daily activity too.
 
ImageRiflery- Learn safety and skill on our shooting range. 8 and 9yr. olds get to use BB guns and 10-12yr. olds get to shoot .22’s and qualify for NRA small bore rifle medals. All firearms and safety equipment are provided.
 
ImageGolf - Develop skills or learn a new game. No experience necessary for a great time.
 
ImageArchery Learn proper archery skills and safety while you begin to earn Archery medals. Bring your own or use our quality equipment
 
ImageHandcrafts You get to make some great wood projects and do string art if you chose this activity.  All of the materials are provided and you get to take home your finished product.
 
ImageNature Experience 322 acres of great hiking and plenty of nature to see. Lots of wildlife, plants and even fossils to find on this outstanding piece of property. Bring shoes for hiking and plan to get wet in the waterfalls and river.
 
ImageWoodsmanship Hiking in the woods, learning to build campfires, conservation, and other outdoor skills will be the focus of this craft. 
 
ImageFishing ­–Whether you love fishing or you just want to learn, you will get plenty of fishing in the on-site lake and the Grand River if you take this activity.
